Should we update the I-864 form?

Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation:

 

We submitted the I-864 form a couple of months ago, and at the time, my husband's salary was already well above the poverty guidelines. However, his salary increased about two months ago. I have my green card interview next Friday.

 

Do we need to update the I-864 to reflect the new salary, or is it fine to leave it as-is since it was already more than enough at the time of filing?

 

Any advice or experiences would be appreciated — thanks in advance! 😊

Have papers with you but don't offer them unless asked.

It should not be needed.

That’s good advice. I’d also bring the updated pay stubs or employment letter just in case the officer asks for proof, but otherwise no need to submit anything new unless requested.

Thanks  We already printed them to bring to the interview. We've decided not to fill out a new I-864 form. At the interview, if ever asked about it, we can explain showing the updated pay stubs and the letter.

You're putting yourself at disadvantage. Having completed I-864 with you means you can give it there and then. Not having it can mean waiting a long time to communicate via emails / portals etc

So, we should bring both of them( the one we already submitted when initial filling and the one with the salary increase)?

I'd only bring new one. And won't mention it unless they ask about I-864
