Kindly explain what you meant by this "If you check your case by logging in to myUSCIS - it's counterproductive"

Thanks.

Sure. Logging into your account requires entering username and password (unless you save password in browser). From what I remember, often it requires code from text message too.

The website I shared does not need signing in. It's good for quick status check. Once you know something changed, you can log in to myUSCIS and check documents tab etc.

Yes, you should get email about update to your case. But what if email goes to Junk or not delivered?

You can also download a tracker app, there's many available. You just put your case number (don't login) and it will alert when there is update.

If you check your case by logging in to myUSCIS - it's counterproductive.

Here is website that works without login https://egov.uscis.gov/

All you need is case number (which you can store on your phone in notes).

This website is often up when myUSCIS is down or undergoing maintenance

I am very curious. why logins into USCIS are counterproductive?

Takes time and more effort? As I explained, entering username and password, entering verification code. Versus just pasting case number and nothing else.

I'm sorry, some how I did not see your previous answer.

BTW when you said "counterproductive", I thought you meant having a negative impact on the N-400 processing time.

Absolutly, it takes longer to go through a 2 step login process.

Our Visa Journey is finally over.

My wife passed the interview and the Oath Ceremony is this Friday August 01 2025.

She applied with a N-648.

No civics test, no English test.

I, her husband was accepted as interpreter to answer few questions from the N-400.

Oakland Park Fl.

Thank you for all your support.

Finally DONE DONE!!! Updated the driver's license last Tuesday, received the US Passport today and got a Social Security appointment for September 8th.

This is it! I had my interview this morning and the same day oath ceremony, which I did not expected at all ☺️ I am now officially a citizen. Thank you everyone for help and support! So happy to be almost done with it 😁 need to get all the needed updates and get my passport asap.

today’s interview was provably the most easiest and chill experience. My officer was the nicest lady, and she made it so friendly from the moment we stepped in to the room! She was genuinely happy for me, when she was giving me an approval.

Good luck to everyone else who is still waiting!

Make sure to update SSA with your new citizenship status! Congratulations!

Yes! They told us today to wait about 10 business days, so SSA can get information first

I'm not 100% sure what information as you'll be presenting your naturalization certificate to update status.

Either way, waiting for 10 days doesn't hurt. I did that a month later, after receiving passport and passport card.

Good luck!

Oh so you did the passport first?? I was thinking I have to do SSA first? But I guess no?

Is anyone else here in the same situation as me and still hasn’t received an interview notice.

What's your specific situation? You don't have a timeline. If you are just referring as being part of January 2025 filers, then  you are not alone, as of today there are 19 VJ members with timelines, still waiting for the interview. Good luck.
