You go online to the FBI website and fill it out.

Pay them $18 then you pick an approved  " Third party"  fingerprint place that scans finger prints

The Post office has various locations that do it and you can find them on a zipcode search right on the FBI website.

I called to confirm they do it and hours and whether I needed an appointment.

You print out an email from the FBI with a barcode and bring that.

They look at your ID, scan the bar code, scan your fingerprints and you pay them $50.

The sanner sends it directly into the FBI

Then they send you an email when it's ready and you go back online and download it

That part I understand. I thought he sent it to the Philippines through USPS. I would never ever use USPS to send anything to the Philippines for any reason.

But did you use USPS to send it to the Philippines? That's more what I was asking.

Ah ok... No it comes in a PDF that you download from the FBI website and I emailed it to her along with forwarding the email with the receipt number from the FBI so they knew it was the same report. They never asked Jaycel for it at her CFO but that was before they really started requiring this a lot.

How fresh does the date on the FBI background check have to be for CFO?  $50 isn't much compared to the entire process, but if I can save that by planning ahead and sending the fingerprints on a paper card, might as well.  Just don't want planning ahead to turn into "this report is too old, get a new one".

The problem is that with the counselors at CFO, they can and often do make up the rules as they go. They could just arbitrarily say that the date is too old. I would spend the $50 and have the digital prints done a couple of days before the CFO appointment to reduce the chances of any BS on the part of the counselors.
