Interview question about intended US address

Hi all, I've got my interview soon (consular processing). On my DS-260 I put my intended address as my wife's parents' address in Maryland. However, my wife and I are planning to move to Utah if we can secure a rental before we go. To the question "Where in the US are you moving to?" how should I answer? Perhaps "Maryland but that may change to Utah if we can secure a rental"?

You can only answer it with what you absolutely know at the time you fill out the DS260.  If something changes between filling out the DS260, and the interview, you can inform the CO at the interview.

And if it changes between interview and entry, you can change upon entry.

Thanks both! So it's fine to tell the CO we're waiting to secure a rental? They don't want a definitive address?

Personally, I would only provide that if a new address is secured and definite.  No need to offer any information not asked for.

The thing is, to prove my wife’s intent to reestablish domicile, we are partly using communications she’d had with realtors in Utah, so that’s why it might be useful for me to mention that we may be moving there when asked where we’re moving.
