USCIS sends packages to the NVC every 2 or 3 weeks i believe. but they also probably have to meet a minimum of packages to send before they send the next batch, since they are still sent via mail.

has the status from USCIS updated to say it was sent or no?

My status is still Case Approved. I noticed the two weeks mark pattern. But there're still cases been sent every day, not many only a few per day.

it could vary by type of case as well

everything with immigration is slowing down significantly

you can try contacting USCIS and/or the NVC

but they will both probably tell you to just keep waiting unfortunately

our case was approved March 19. Sent to NVC on March 24 and we haven’t heard back from them. We were able to get the case number but haven’t gotten the welcome letter yet.

Just not sure if this is normal or if I should be trying to contact someone at NVC

For information  NVC assigns a case number for the embassy only and sends the case onward when embassy requests

NVC does not process K1

If u know case # , you are set at NVC waiting for them to forward to consulate

No. I'm Apr 4 still no process at all. I hear they're starting to send cases around Apr 3-4 to DOS lately. The late March cases were sent on early May. I don't know why they need a full month to send a week's cases and still haven't finshed sending all.

Entire process has essentially ground to a halt with no explanation given, only speculation

Check out track my visa now if you haven’t already. Worth the $6 a month or whatever it is, but yea I’d estimate you still have a good 4 months until noa2

I don’t think I understand Jeannne. Do we not need the welcome letter then? I understood it had crucial info to pay fees and schedule appointment.

I got my NOA2 on Apr4. It's been 61 days without any update. I noticed the people got NOA2 a week before me got sent to DOS one month ago. Does USCIS need to take a month to send a week's cases to DOS? I wonder if they process according to NOA2 date order.

You are right, based on the info on the i129-f approval notice, it was sent to the nvc on April 30th of 2025. I went through k1 visa back in 2008 , been a citizen since 2013 or 2015 if I recall right. So far the process seems to be the same, except for I would think because of the new tech and updated computers they would be faster, I guess not, bro works at the USCIS/NVC/Consulate still operating like if he is working in a warehouse, chill and work at your own paste, make that application forwarding last till break time 😆 😂 🤣

How did you get the case number? What's the process?

you need the letter to schedule the medical exam and continue the process of gathering supporting documents

that letter will be sent once NVC forwards your case

You should mention in posts that the country /embassy is China as each embassy has specific requirements and steps in their proceedures and best responses will be from those VJ members going thru same
