US Embassy in Haiti Current Message

My mother previously had an appointment for a visa interview in 2023 but it was cancelled by the US embassy in Port au Prince due to the gang violence that is going on in Haiti. I’ve tried transferring her case to the US embassy in Dominican Republic but was denied because they said she have to be a permanent resident but she only has a visa to go to DR. I’ve emailed countless times and recently the US embassy in Haiti have posted the message that is below. Does anyone know what a file review is? Is it worth going to if she doesn’t have an appointment with the embassy?

Does it seem to be from the proper source?  There is a little bit of grammar issues with the message, so it could be phishing.  I would try emailing the consulate with the pertinent case reference information to see if this is real, and if you are sure, go and see.  As to a file review, I suspect they are talking about the file the consulate has regarding the beneficiary.

Your post title says, "US Embassy in Haiti Current Message". Are you saying this is on their website? If it is, have your mother absolutely go. This could very well be the first step in getting her an interview appointment.
