Hey everyone! Just finished putting together my I-751 Removal of Conditions packet, such a relief to have it all done.

I’ve got my money order from USPS made out to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security”, but I had a couple of questions before I send it off. Attached a generic pic for reference. USCIS site has a decent cheque layout but not MO.

 1. On the money order — do I need to write my name and address on it?

 2. Do I need to put the same USCIS address (where I’m mailing the packet) in the “Pay to” section of the money order, or just leave that part blank?

3. Also… I was planning to ship the whole package with UPS, but the USCIS address for UPS/FedEx is different from the USPS one. Do you think it’s better to keep things streamlined and just send everything via USPS since the money order came from there too?

Thanks in advance — I appreciate any advice!

No, if you send packet with UPS, send to the correct address as listed on USCIS website. Different postal services have different addresses for a reason. If you sent UPS to USPS address on USCIS website, your packet will get rejected.

So even if the cheque is with USPS I can write the UPS address on it, if the packet is being sent with UPS, Do I even need to put a physical address on the cheque?

Payment method doesn't relate to where you ship packet. Only depends on postal service you use.

I'm avoiding question about address / details of money order because I never used it in my immigration process and cannot tell how to fill it. Only used personal checks all the way.

1.  Yes.  That's a postal regulation, but if it gets separated somewhere within USCIS you'd like it to trace back to you.

2.  Any valid USCIS address is fine.  Make sure that the PAY TO line is filled out as specified on the form.  (I did get an RFE because I abbreviated something.)

3.  As already mentioned, the address on the Money Order doesn't matter either way.  If you have the PO Box on there, leave it on there.

Fill out the Memo line...at least with your A number or case number.  If it gets separated, that's what they'll look for.
