Should I report CBP incident in N400 application

Twelve years ago, I brought nuts but forgot to declare them on the customs form. Later, the officer mentioned that I should have declared them. She gave me a verbal warning and told me not to do it again. I did not pay fine or written notice either.  For the next five years, every time I crossed the border, I was pulled over and checked. I am now applying for the N-400. Do I need to report this in my N-400 application? If I have to, which section should I report this incident in?

My answer to this is a definite yes as they put this verbal warning and information into a database with your Passport and other identifying details (which is why you keep getting checked) so you should disclose it.

My initial thought is Part 9., Item 15.b. - Have you EVER been arrested, cited, detained or confined by any law enforcement officer, military official (in the U.S. or elsewhere), or immigration official for any reason, or been charged with a crime or offense?

Thank you for the quick response.  One clarification for the past 7 years I haven't been pulled over at all.

Good for you. Disclosing prior CBP encounter isn't going to prevent you from naturalizing. If anything, you're likely going to be appreciated for honesty.

I agree, it worth mentioning and explaining upfront rather that to be questioned about it by an IO if they see something in their system.
