Thanks! It did fly. We are in the middle of planning a move out of state and honestly thought we'd have to transfer our file. It ended up getting scheduled right around the time we were planning on moving.

The good thing is, once you become a citizen you no longer need to worry about updating address with USCIS (AR-11, I-865) and worrying about case transfer.

Great to see others are getting interviews scheduled this quickly, but still no update for me since my biometrics appointment in early May. ETA on my USCIS account is 27 months...

I have since received my EAD though. :)

That is true!

Yes! Ours was showing 34 months but it looks like things are running a bit quicker than the estimation shows.

Somehow I thought this was a N-400 case 😃

Hahah but it is true regardless! For us, citizenship will be the end of our immigration road so we have a bit to go but looking forward to be done. :)

Hi everyone, I’m happy to share that my wife successfully passed her interview today!

We prepared all the documents mentioned in the interview letter, but the immigration officer only requested my divorce decree and my daughter’s birth certificate.

The interview was more of a conversation than question and answer like many YouTubers describe.

I hope everyone who is still waiting receives a response soon. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about our experience.

Just curious here but did you get the USCIS notification to say she was approved or is this based on them verbally saying she was approved?

At the end of the interview, the immigration officer told us she would be processing the application and that my wife would be receiving her conditional green card in the mail within two weeks. She also explained the process for removing conditions within the 90 days before the conditional green card expires. We just received the official approval notice in the USCIS portal this morning.

Nice! Verbal approvals are very unreliable. Looks like officer really kept their word this time. Congrats!

First post, but long-time lurker. I just want to say a huge thank-you to everyone on this forum who has helped me on my US immigration journey so far, you have made it so

much easier and much less painful than expected! 😀

So, I entered the US in January 2025 on a K1 visa, married my now husband on 11th March 2025 and filed AOS 10th April 2025.

We had our I-485 interview yesterday in Oklahoma City and was probably the easiest event so far!

Our interview was scheduled at 11am, but didn’t get called for our interview until 12.15. We both stood up to follow the immigration officer when my name was called, but he told me that my husband wasn’t needed. I was so worried that for some reason our interview would be a Stokes interview, but the officer explained on the way to his office that a joint interview wasn’t needed as I entered on a K1 and we had already done the legwork proving our relationship with that visa and all the evidence we provided with our I-485 application 😀

The interview lasted maybe 5 minutes where I was asked for my passport, birthdate, marriage date and 10 random inadmissibility questions from the I-485 form. I provided my fingerprints, photo and oath and that was it - approved!

My USCIS account updated to ‘approved’ this morning! 🎉🇺🇸
