Update for me:

 

Filed AOS and EAD on 04/07/2025

 

NOA1 for both on 04/16/2025

 

Biometrics appointment letter uploaded to myUSCIS on 04/18/2025, scheduled for 05/09/2025

 

myProgress estimates AOS decision in 21 months and EAD decision in 2 months.

I've got some good news to share! We received notice today from USCIS that my wife's EAD application has been approved.

 

While checking the status of her I-485 AOS application, I saw that Step 3 of 4 — "Attend Interview" — is marked as completed. Does this mean the interview has been waived and we're now just waiting for the final case decision?

Congrats!! 🎉🎉 That progress bar automatically marks that as complete for everyone after their biometrics. There have been reports of people with that being checked and then they get an interview notice, so that can be ignored.

No worries... Ours says the same thing and has since Jaycel's biometrics appointment on Dec. 26th.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share an exciting update. My wife got a notification from USCIS earlier this week that her interview has been scheduled for June 26, 2025! We honestly weren’t expecting it to happen this quickly, so it definitely caught us by surprise.

 

We’re still waiting on her SSN to come through, hopefully it arrives soon so I can add her to my bank accounts (my banks require SSN). I know that co-mingling of finances is one of the things they look for as evidence during the interview, so we’re trying to get that sorted as soon as we can.

Thanks! It did fly. We are in the middle of planning a move out of state and honestly thought we'd have to transfer our file. It ended up getting scheduled right around the time we were planning on moving.
