I had the flu a few weeks ago so do I still need the flu shot for immigration?

I’d like to avoid if possible. It was definitely the flu I had since I tested 3 times negative for Covid and had all the flu symptoms

the flu vaccine is a required vaccine if the medical exam takes place during flu season.

 

regardless of if you've had the flu recently or not.

Thank you this is very helpful, I just got back from part one of my medical check and the flu shot wasn’t available at the clinic so I didn’t get it however she said I must visit cvs to get it before part two of the medical check. I wonder if since it wasn’t available at the clinic would I be able to avoid getting it at cvs? Or would I be able to delay part two of my medical check till we’re out of flu season? It’s just since I received quite a few at the clinic today I’d like to avoid this one if possible since I have had the flu already

Flu season can last as long as May

I don't know if you can delay the medical exam for that long

 

However having the flu once doesn't make you immune, that's why it's recommended to get the flu shot every year

You could just as easily get the flu again in a few weeks

 

You could probably wait a week or 2 to give yourself a break from the vaccines, but I don't think delaying your medical to avoid one more is a good idea in general
