380$ fee sent to wrong address

Hi ,

NVC sent the 380 $ fee bill, but wife sent it to send the wrong address, she sent to the St louis address instead of the Rochester AVenue address.... before sending she confirmed about the address with the NVC helpline... I dont know who is lying here ... i just dont know 10 days wasted,

NVC sent letter that they havent received the 380 fee .... wife is sending it again

Will i get back the 380 $ fee which wife sent to ST louis NVC centre... what will happpen ... WHat shalll i do

Hi Jigi,

It is not possible to know this for sure but I doubt they will cash the check. If it will make you feel better you can put a stop payment on the check. Talk to your bank about how to do this. Usually you have to pay $25. I know that when the USCIS decided that our I-129F form was incomplete, they returned our check.

My letter clearly states "do not send any payment to this address" which was the Portsmouth address. I used the enclosed envelope and it was directed to St. Louis. Which is correct???

Worried! I mailed my IV bill via USPS certified mail on 8-02-07 but still not delivered. I even used the enclosed envelope.

Jigi.......I had only sent my IV Bill fee on 8-02 via USPS First Class certified mail. Unfortunately the USPS failed to scan the receipt of my letter in St. Louis. After two weeks of checking receipt confirmation, I finally called the 603 area code number last night and the customer service rep confirmed that DS-230 has been generated meaning payment was received. My wife is currently residing in Malaysia, hence we went ahead and completed the form so she can mail it to me before the actual receipt of the DS-230 cover sheet.

I just went to travel.state.gov website... and saw that the St LOUIS address is the right address to send the FEES FOR IR/CR applicaion..... I just dont know why did NVC sent the letter.... I guess they have some issues ... I hope they process the 380 $ payment sooon... so i can get DS-230

jigi....you might want to give NVC a ring. It is highly possible that your mail did not arrived at the St. Louis center. Also, you might want to check with the financial institution where the payment/check was drawn......to see if NVC have cashed it yet.

My wife called up the bank and check whether they have encashed the payment , but they havent encashed it yet.

Another this is the USPS has delivered my Mail on August 3 itself.... and its Aug 22 today ... so uits 13 working days gone... and i think its high time ..... I will Calll NVC again... and see what happpens......

Do you think these guys are still reviewing the I -864. Because they havent encashed the payment yet... what can be the problem guys.... help me out.....

Call NVC. Ask them the status of your case. I mailed my IV Bill on 8-02-7 via USPS Certified Mail. Unfortunately, it still shows that the mail has not arrived in St. Louis. But the check was cashed without endorsement on 8-16-07. But a call to NVC reveals that the DS-230 was generated on 8-16-07.
