You likely will not receive anything from NVC in the mail. Jaycel never did. Did your fiancé update NVC with both of your email addresses?

Hi Edward, apparently no. But anyways, if I am not mistaken we are done with NVC now and I just need to wait for the instructions package from my consulate? And that comes by mail correct? When do I file the DS-160? When I get the instructions package? Thanks :)

Every consulate is different so I can't answer that for you but yes the next communication should be from the consulate. They will provide the exact instructions for you to proceed. Good luck! Keep us all updated :)

Was your RFE complex or simple? Was the evidence of additional in-person meetings since filing the I-129F requested or was that unsolicited evidence?

They asked for further proof of relationship. I had previously provided all proof of meeting in person but it wasn't enough?!?  Oh well, we sent more recent pictures and evidence of another in person meeting since filing i129f along with written history of our relationship. By god, i hope that's enough.

Ah ok... well I hope they act quickly for you!

Hello, Congratulations first thing!

We are still waiting, we were approved on April 2, 2025, going on 2 months with waiting on it being transferred to NVC, wondering if there is anything I can do, how long did it take for your file to be sent to NVC? As well, what do you mean about making sure to send an inquiry 2 weeks after the submission date, do you mean after it has been approved by USCIS or after it's been received by NVC

Thank you and hoping your next part goes quickly and smoothly.

Has the case status of your I-129F changed to "Case Was Sent To The Department of State" yet?

We also waited 6-7 weeks before our case was finally transferred to the NVC.

Once the case is sent to the NVC you’ll need to wait another 2 weeks to receive your case number. After the second week you can send them a public inquiry to speed up the process a bit.

Once you get the case number you’ll need to wait another 2 weeks for your case to be “in transit” to the embassy.

The final step is scheduling the interview which can be 4-5 weeks.

So all in you’re likely looking at another 2.5 months before the process is complete. Good luck!

Where would I check that at? I log into the USCIS and it only states that the case approved, and on April they approved Form I-129F, and that they will mail something with instructions, nothing else.

Is there another website I can check to see the status through the DOS or NVC?

No, once USCIS sends it to NVC, the case status on the USCIS site will change from "Case Was Approved" to "Case Was Sent To The Department of State"
