good planning can solve that. we plan on that and have a stopping point and continue it the next weekend. besides, such is always a good excuse to have more beers on both weekends due to that long project we're working on

i've not run into any projects that require assistance other than the occasional need for my neighbor to bring his tractor over. usually i do everything myself. i finished up one yard project that took me about 2.5 years to do, i'll post pics of such when i get back to kansas if you remind me about it next sat. perhaps you can give me an idea of what projects you are referring to needing an illegal to assist with that need to be finished on a weekend.

As for that project: Ever heard of family and friends?

Yeah, rent equipment. Seems like some people really really like to hire illegals so they will come up with any excuse in the book. What happened to hard work in this country?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

You guys must have nice jobs if you have so much spare time to do work around the house.

I have a lot of work I need to get done and very little time to do it. Hiring someone is pretty much my only option. Especially given that with my level of skills I'd need 2-3 times as much time as a skilled professional to get it right.

As for my original point - when you've made the decision to hire someone, to rule out a source of cheap labor is stupid.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

I hope no one gets raped or murdered. Another high cost of low price.

Most rapists and murders are actually citizens.

If you say most that leaves others who are not. To me any criminal activity is inexcusable by someone who is not legally permitted to be in a nation. The criminal should be punished accordingly as they clearly have no respect for the laws, authority or people of another nation.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

That's just lazy. I'd rather do it myself and risk being tired or sore from some manual labor and know its done RIGHT than pay 20 bucks for some random stranger to come to my home and 'fix' whatever for me. You get what you pay for. And if what you are paying for is illegal you might go to jail :P

Risk > Rewards? I think so. I'm not going to jail because I wanted Juan to paint my fence for $5 instead of doing it myself for free.
