Inability to pay for your own trip as a tourist can be seen a as a negative factor for visa approval. If the tourist cannot pay themselves there's greater risk of them working without authorization or overstay in the eyes of US officials.

Not really, Have you been a CO officer?  What Embassy or Consulate did you work at?

What do you base this on? Have you or your family done a Tourist visa?

OP appears to be young, it is quite common for others to pay for a trip if you are young or elderly, the CO's know this, this is common knowledge.

When my MIL did her recent Tourist Visa the CO asked whom was paying, it wasn't a a negative factor.

So do you want him to lie? Honest is always the best policy, Nothing wrong with someone else paying for your trip especially if your still in school.

Hi, can you please tell me what questions were asked for your interview? My niece is scheduled for an interview next month.

MIL not me

Very simple question and I think only 6

Like : What is your middle name. Who is paying for your trip. Are you retired, and a couple other simple questions.

My MIL is from Philippine and older so usually for Philippines if your old or rich you get approved for a Tourist visa.
