As the title says it : im having trouble with these docs. I am having some difficulties with my husband's civil documents. He’s from Türkiye and for some reason his birth certificate and our marriage certificate are still being rejected by NVC. Note that we have translated these documents with a verified translator and I was wondering for those who have had this problem , what did you do to solve it? And if you’re from Türkiye what did you do to get these documents accepted by NVC? Thanks in advance.

I am sure I saw someone post recently with the same issue, you might want to check their situation.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Nvc rejects your birth certificate because the date shown on bc as the date when is what made did not match you date of birth. If it is more than 10 years difference you need to provide a court declaration or other proof of relationship between you and your parent. I am not sure why marriage cert was rejected because I did not have that problem.  Mine was accepted.

We had our Turkish marriage documents rejected. Had to call to get them accepted, however, now u cant call NVC anymore. Phone service has been suspended.
I keep having birth certificate rejected. So idk …. Anyone else have any ideas?

Apparently What we had to do was go to a notary and also have the documents apostilled. The NVC accepted it. Thank goodness
