@The_Walters I filed 3/11/24 for spouse and still waiting =(. My case got transferred to California center. Nothing since last reviewing 3/20/24. They are now working on 3/13/24 cases. So I don't know what to do with my case.

Most cases take 16-17 months. So you should expect movement in mid-late August 2025. If it takes faster, great. There's always minority of cases which get approved faster. It's luck. Don't we all wish our cases went faster?

Our case was filed on March 26, 2024, but it still hasn't moved to 'Active Review' — the account still shows 'Day 1' status. Did your case go into 'Active Review'? Most March 2024 approvals I've seen transitioned to "Active review" in April 2025.

I filed March 2024 and am interested in following the journey of others that have done so.

They are currently working on March 25, 2024 cases! Check your USCIS account and emails.

We just got an email about 30 mins ago: We have taken action on your case! No updates yet.

Any time then!  Mine came through later in the day.  We are at NVC.  Got email less than a week after i130 approval.  Paid on Sunday and wasn’t cleared till Wednesday evening.  Going to start uploading docs tonight.

Make sure any files have passwords removed.  My tax transcripts have passwords on them.  Also, filling the I864 on the pdf download was locked too.

Where did you get these transcripts from?

I never had passwords on Tax Return Transcripts downloadable from IRS website for free.

Are you talking about W-2 distributed digitally by employer? W-2 is not required typically if you provide Tax Return Transcript.

I downloaded from the IRS site using my ID Me log in and downloaded them.  When I went to combine into 1, I can’t because they are password protected.  This is my first time doing this so not sure if I downloaded the right thing but it does say Tax transcript at the top.

Tax return transcript? There's multiple types of transcripts on IRS website. Why do you need to combine them? How do you know the password to open file? Did IRS send password in the mail / email / text message?

If you can open file without password, but only editing is password protected, it may be by design. Don't edit / combine these files. Submit them as is.

I wasn’t looking to combine those files but comparing with another file to see if that was the reason I was having an issue with a different file.  I wasn’t trying to combine them.   I think I’m just confused on the password protection where it says don’t submit password protected files.  But your words say if you can open them then that is all I need for submission and they will be able to open as well.
