kids under 18 of US Citizen

Hi Members,

I have a question about kids under 18 years.I want to know that my kids under 18 are going to get green cards or passports when they arrive here or  do i need to file any kind of papers to get them passport  and petitioner is citizen .

Is the US citizen petitioning you, a biological parent of your kids?

 

That's the first thing to figure out. If they are biological children of US citizen, who lived in the US for over 5 years, then they may be US citizens already.

 

Otherwise, US citizen may need to sponsor them with I-130 for each kid to get immigrant visa and GC.

i am the petitioner and biological father of the kids and my kids are in diffrent country and they are born after i became citizen  .I filed i-130 for my wife and kids.

Have you been a US citizen for 5+ years and lived in the US for 5+ years? If yes to both, the kids may be US citizens by birth. You may need to register their birth in US embassy (CRBA)

i became citizen 2 years and 4 months ago and living in US more than 5 years

Were the kids born when you were a citizen for over 2 years already?

You may want to consult with a lawyer. Based on what I understand so far, the kids are NOT US citizens and you need to file I-130 petitions for each of them. That will give them immigration visas to come to the US and get green cards .
