I am so frustrated. We were granted expedited interview scheduling a month ago and still NOTHING. It's impossible to get a hold of the embassy - have we been forgotten? Is there anyone in here who has gone through the expedite interview process in Canada? Desperate for some information.

Montreal is a very slow consulate.  It typically takes on average 6-8 weeks for them to reply to an inquiry.  An expedite just means you have an opportunity to be placed in a shorter line.  It doesn't mean that the line is being served expeditiously or immediately.

Not to be insensitive, but immigration, expedited or not, isn't fast, cheap or for the faint of heart and is a privilege, not a right.  There's also no guarantee that an expedite is going to protect you from being issued a 221g or a DS-5535.  As others can attest, it really is take a number and the Consulate will call you when they are ready.

They are a small team, with a lot of requests.

If they spent their time answering questions by email and on the phone, they would have even less resources to work on visas. They will not answer your questions if the information can be found on their website or Information Center.  If nothing has changed since your last communication with them, they won't lose their time and repeat their answer.
