We have got DQ in December 9 2022 IR1/CR1 for my wife but received a message saying we may need a joint sponsor. What was uploaded at the time of the DQ was 2021 income which was 17k.

I have started a new job mid 2022 with a salary of 50k a year, my income for 2022 was 25k (since I started the job mid year 2022) and income for 2023 it was 50k.

I will be uploading a new I-864, tax returns, w2's and paystubs.

Is my current income sufficient without a joint sponsor, or it is there a possibility my wife will be asked for one during the interview which is in March 13 2024? I am unable to find a joint sponsor.

What did the review note say exactly?  If you notice the words "may" and "Consular Officer will decided" just ignore it.

"This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p."

The is what the message is saying, it's the same as you mentioned, words like "may" are there. Thanks for your reply I will ignore it and hope for the best in the interview.

If you need to update your I-864 with your latest tax return information, surely do so, but yes, you can ignore that message.
