Hi 

 

I was asked for passport by US embassy in London after one year of administrative processing, how long does it take to process after giving them the passport? Is it reasonable to email them to ask/request for passport if they are going to take long?

Hi, the last updated date has changed after a year and the status on CEAC says refused after passport submission, does this mean they did not give the visa?

Refused in their speak means not approved, not denied.

Thank you, does it mean they are still considering? I was under the impression a decision was made when they requested passport.

Hello, I am confused as I just got another email from embassy saying to submit my passport and when I went to the tracking, it says the passport is sent back to me today, on ceac it is still saying refused for 29th. 

 

I do not understand why its sent back without completing processing, I did not ask for my passport back.

is it normal that the online portal says refused on 29th Feb and that the automated email says submit your passport within 4 month?

There are only 2 options, they asked for the passport too early and are sending it back, or they asked for it correctly and have issued the visa. The second is much more likely

Actually I just went back to the portal, it does not say it is being sent back. It says in-courier number, my address was appearing there which is why i thought they are sending it back. Now I am more confused as to why they would send another email to request passport (again) after a month, and despite having my passport with them already. What should I do? Anyone who faced this before?

Hi, an update: ceac now says 'approved' but says to wait for 'issued' before they can send it to the courier. Anyone who has previously been on 'approved' stage, how long is it usually?
