Does NBI have to be current and valid at visa interview stage?

What if NBI is valid at NVC to become DQ'd but expires before interview?

Is this for an interview in London? If so…...https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visa-faqs/visa-processing-and-documents/

where in that link does it explain that the nbi police clearance needs to be valid at the time of interview?

for example. NBI expires Feb 2024, DQ Jan 2024, interview might be who knows when...

Third question down - 'What is the validity period of a police certificate?'.

Your concern isn't clear. We don't know if you (or whoever is being interviewed) has returned to the Philippines and resided there for 6 months or more or not since you got the certificate. If they haven't, then it's still valid regardless of the date of it, as per that answer. And if they have, then yes, you'll need another one unless you by any chance get an interview just before it expires.

parents have not lived in the Philippines since 1970's. It's one thing for NBI to be valid at DQ document upload stage at NBI but by the time and interview is scheduled, it will have expired.. that's my clear concern.

But as per the link - the certificate is valid indefinitely if they haven't lived there for at least 6 months since it was issued.
