Greetings friends,

My fiancée and I had been dating more than 7 years. On October 2022, I travelled to Somalia where I met my fiancée and we spent a lot of days together and we discussed how we should get married and live together. I weighed my options and we decided to get married in the US. Because she had a Thyroid and I needed her to come to the US quick and get married and take care of her.

On December 2022, I came back to the US and filled I-129f and I submitted On January 20th 2023. Once I submitted the form I told my fiancée to travel to Ethiopia because the US embassy in Mogadishu wasn't working.

Once she arrived Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Couple days later, My fiancée requested me if she could go back to Somalia and come back to Ethiopia once her case arrives the US embassy in Ethiopia. I sent her back to Somalia.

On november 20th 2023, I received a letter in the mail saying that my case has been approved and they mentioned in the letter that they sent my case to NVC for further processing. I informed my fiancée and we created DS-160 and completed the form. Last night, My fiancée and I submitted the DS-160 and got the confirmation via email. I also emailed and Inquiry to the NVC regarding about my case number since it has been more than 30 days.

Note: My fiancée only knows how to read and write and speak Somali. I translated everything for her including this post I am writing.

Here are my questions that I am worrying about.

  1. Her contact information is my email which we share and my US phone number which unfortunately we don't share because she doesn't live here yet. Is that a problem ?

  2. Her address is in somalia because the I-129f I put her address in Somalia and I wanted the DS-160 and the USCIS for form to match. But she will be coming to Ethiopia next week since her case will arriving the US embassy in Ethiopia ? Is that a problem and how can I fix it ?

  3. Should I travel to Ethiopia when she gets her visa approved so that I can travel with her in the US and help her translate through the port of entry in the US ?

  4. Does the US embassy in Ethiopia have a Somali Translators ?

Thank you so much!
