Are you waiting for NVC to send you a notice that they received your case and provide a case #? If so, they don’t do that. You’ll have to send a public inquiry to ask. NVC only send a notice via email when your case departs NVC for the consulate.

Put at least on this week 4 public inquiry and they will send it to you. I had to email them two weeks after approval and that's how I got it. They have your case already if 45 days has passed
