Obama ruled out the use of nuclear weapons to go after al Qaeda or Taliban targets in Afghanistan or Pakistan, prompting Clinton to say presidents never take the nuclear option off the table, and extending their feud over whether Obama has enough experience to be elected president in November 2008.

...

The New York senator and former first lady quickly pounced on Obama's remark about nuclear weapons at a Capitol Hill news conference.

"I think presidents should be very careful at all times in discussing the use, or non-use, of nuclear weapons," she said.

"Presidents since the Cold War have used nuclear deterrence to keep the peace. And I don't believe that any president should make any blanket statements with respect to the use or non use of nuclear weapons," she said.

Hehe, don't read to much into it. It doesn't take much to understand that. Which doesn't look good for Oboma.

Did anyone happen to see Giuliani on Charlie Rose last night? It was good interview. His eyes got really big a few times and I thought he wanted to kill Mr. Rose, but seemed to restrain himself.

Gary, why do think in such absolutes? There are liberal and moderate Republicans as there are moderate and conservative Democrats. Tell me Giunliani is a true Republican.

I am increasingly convinced that Hillary is going to be our next President. She is by far the best candidate the Democrats have to offer.

I'm leaning that way also. There's no Republican candidate besides Giuliani that can even compete with her.

Which isn't saying much.

It says enough. A Democrat will win in 2008 barring a miracle in Iraq. As long as only one Democrat sounds even remotely Presidential, you know who your next President will be :)

I know that it is early and there are several rep candidates that have yet to announce but the latest Gallup poll has Giuliani beating Clinton 49% to 46%. I wouldn't say the Clinton has a lock on anything yet.

Let me add that I am not a strong Giuliani fan. I would prefer Thompson or Newt for president. But anyone would be better than Clinton.
