B1/B2 visa application

Hello

I am an Ethiopian citizen, Medical doctor currently living in UK enrolled in research project. I am on study leave from my main employment to prepare for PLAB exam(UK physician registration). I am working part time job to support my self while studying. my UK visa is valid till June 2024

 

I have registered for a conference which is held in Boston,U.S from April 10 to 12/ 2024. I am planning to book my U.S visa interview for Jan 2024. I have $5,000 on my bank to support my self during the stay. I do not have close family members in U.S.

I am worried that my application for U.S visa will not be successful for the following reasons.

 

1. Being on study leave from my main employment. 


2. I have employment contract that support my application but I could not get a letter from my company which mentions my  purpose of visit to U.S. 

what are the chances of visa approval with my current status.
 

 

Any comment is appreciated
