Some edit their profile signature to show significant events, this is NOT a substitute to not editing and keeping your official timeline updated.

I put a link in my signature pointing at the official VJ timeline.

To edit signature, just click My controls above and look for "edit Signature" on the left.

Usually you can call the service center and ask for your case number, or if you paid for your petition with a check the case number is stamped on the back of the check when it is cashed.
