Hi People

I need help or advice from you.. Am planning to contact my congressman for my case, coz CIS never send our case in NVC.. can anyone from here give me idea about the procedure. Am k1 here THANKS

What does NVC say about your petition when you call them?

At any rate - in order for your representative to act on your request, most will want you to complete and sign a 'release of information' form (which allows the government to tell them about your case) first - many have this form on their web site, but certainly all will fax it to you. So you basically just explain your issue, fill out that release of information and wait and see what happens.

Each congressperson has a different procedure. Many of them require a 'release' from you in order for them to contact NVC on your behalf. Call your representative - best place to start.

Well first - do not ever send your original NOA2 (because you'll need that later, and if you don't get it back, you won't like paying a fee and waiting for them to issue another one). So only send copies if you're sending anything.

As for a procedure - am not sure there is one - NVC only needs to know the date-of-birth and approval number to find your case - I'm assuming you (when you call) are speaking to a real person at NVC not the automated line.

In our case - we didn't wait so long as you - NVC kept saying they didn't have ours - by the time they said they did, they also said "We got it on XYZ and already sent it to the embassy..." so you never know...

I am in similar situation. My NOA2 was approved on 07/17/2007. I have called NVC twice (20 minutes before today on 7/31/07). I talked to a live person. They said they do not have my case in their system...the did not receive from CSC.

Why do not we outsouce USCIS operations to more efficient countries and pay only $ 50 for filing. :crying:
