This VJ member is going through Zambia:

You could PM him to see if they have been DQ'ed yet at NVC and are waiting for interview.

Unfortunately there aren't a lot of members from Zambia on this forum.

I'm wondering the same thing.

Hello hope you doing okay. I am going through to the US EMBASSSY IN ZAMBIA AND I want to ask how long it takes for you to receive interview appointment after being documentary qualified. Thanks for your response.

You can look at JimmyX’s timeline on his/her profile which tells you.

But if your timeline is accurate then your PD isn’t current yet, so you won’t be in the line for an interview yet.

Yes, my timeline is accurate. I emailed back and forth with the embassy, but it ended up being almost 6 months from the time they received the petition until my fiancée was contacted about scheduling the interview. Things moved pretty quickly from there, though. Good luck!

Sorry for my late response I was away while. My I-130 was approved May 07,2025. I received NVC documentary qualified email on  June 10,2025. I have spoken to some one who received interview appointment on April 27,2025 he waited for 2.5 month after being DQed. They are working good, hope that helps .

My point was that your PD isn’t current yet, so you can’t receive an interview.

The date on the current Visa Bulletin is 1st Jan 2022, so only those that applied prior to that date are eligible for visas.

I become citizen and upgraded my petition. USCIS approved the petition and now I am waiting for the interview appointment.

Ah, I see. Thanks for updating your timeline to change it now.
