I-485 RFE than Cancelation of RFE same day?

Hi,

 

My wife and I have been waiting for a response since submitting our I-485 and corresponding documents and just received and email updating us that we have received an RFE. But looking at our timeline Via my.uscis.gov account they cancelled the request? is this normal and how exactly am i to know if the RFE is still in need of submitting? Also have no idea what the RFE is even for?

Sure. They pressed the wrong button. Or they gave you one for forgetting to submit a doc and then later found the document because your docs were out of order compared to the order you listed on your coverletter.

Lots of normal reasons.

RFEs come by mail within 30 days. Read it when or if it comes.
