Hi Everyone,

My girlfriend and I are planning on apply for the K1 Visa in a few months time. At the moment we are doing research to find out just how the process works as well as what things/forms we will need to complete.

One problem we came across is in filing I-134 Affidavit of Support. My girlfriend is currently studying full-time in college, and hence has no form of income.

Is there any way to get around this? ... maybe a co-signer (eg: her mother/father). If a co-signer is possible, where exactly on the I-134 form would she put this information?

Thank in advance for any help,

- Shameel and Cassie

to my understanding if youre not above the 125% poverty line you can use a sponser , the sponser will have to complete as you do yours as well , her/his own I 134 and have to be 100% over poverty line dont forget to have it notorized and make 2 copies of everything you going to send , as they might ask for it at the interview
