London Slowing Down?

Is it just me or does London appear to be getting slower? When looking at the timelines prior to february the average wait time between sending packet 3 and receiving packet 4 and interview date was a month but since the 2nd week in February things appeared to have slowed down with the waiting time maybe 8 weeks or more? Im at the 5 week mark my friend's son submitted his pk3 3 weeks before me and still hasnt heard anything?

My fiance sent packet 3 on March 3rd. We didn't get any interview date yet. He called embassy last week they told him to wait for 3 to 4 more weeks.

London seems to have some slowdowns from time to time, but in comparison to many other consulates, I still feel fortunate to go through London.

I've been keeping an eye on this. Can you please tell us when you get your packet 4? Do you think wait depends individual circumstaces? I would think that most delays due to error would be back at the service centers.

I hope not. My fiance sent Packet 3 off March 15th and nothing yet. I know I'm not in any position to worry yet, but we have plane tix for June 1st so it's pretty tight for us. If anybody knows anything regarding a possible slow-down in London, please share.

I dont think there is a "slow down" this is a normal pattern for London!!......they seem to take 3 weeks from recieving petition from NVC to send out pack 3, then you can expect another 3 weeks from mailing back pack 3 to getting pack 4, some are faster some are slower, but everyone is free to email London to try find out where they are in the process, dont bother calling the number as its a call center in Scotland & costs a lot to phone!!

It seems to be going at about 6 weeks -- mine was a little longer, but I think if you put a date for a wedding they do try and accomodate.

I sent packet 3 on March 14 and its still not showing on their system as received yet when i called them. Was told it should be on by next Tuesday(why Tuesday is anyones guess....) Have now tried e-mail.

I'm still waiting but my friend's son got his interview date 16 April. He received it exactly 8 weeks from when he submitted packet 3.

I got this e-mail on April 5th

We have no record of having received the forms to which you refer. However there is a delay of 6 - 8 weeks between the date the forms are received by the Embassy and the date in which they are processed and entered on to our system. As soon as the Immigrant Visa Unit has received the forms and completed any additional processing on your application you can anticipate receiving an appointment date for an interview within 8 weeks.

Your medical examination results have been received in the Immigrant Visa Unit.
