Hi all.

I have not been here for a while and I was a victim of the embassy shutdown/slowdown (2 year additional wait). Have they retuned to any semblence of normalcy?

Yes for CR1/IR1.  Getting back to pre-shutdown levels for K1.  The issue with K1 nowadays is the USCIS stage.  Processing estimate for I-129F is now up to around 16 months on average!

For K1/K2's they were handling normalish numbers throughout most of 2022 so it would seem they are more or less caught up.  CR/IR has been caught up since 2021.  There seemed a surge in other family categories in 2022.  I think they are mostly caught up (?)  B1/B2 the are showing 126 day wait time for interviews which implies they have at least made significant progress on that group.

They're doing something weird though, members from my group chat of F1/F11 applicants have been receiving letters from NVC stating that their expedite request have been granted and those members did not request for expedite. Those members as well are next in line for interviews as we have been tracking DQ dates of everyone in our group, now those members need to self schedule their own interview date via CGI federal site, so it looks like this is their way of keeping up with all the applicants that were stuck since 2020, our last member that got the expedite letter was DQ'd August 24, 2020.
