Last updated every Friday but no changes

Hello everyone, my i130 for my wife needed administrative processing and they already called both of us for an over the phone questionnaires a month ago. My question is how long does it take for the administrative process to be completed?  Also my visa case status usually show "last updated" every Friday but the case still stay the same.  Anyone has any input on this matter and how can we get the AP to be expedited? This is for Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

 AP cannot be expedited or even estimated.  What was their focus during the phone call?

timeline when I was in Vietnam before and after marriage. Where did we stay, marriage date, where did we go for our honeymoon, who attended our wedding, etc...

 

"last updated" updated every friday for the last 4 weeks.

I assume this phone call was after the initial visa interview.

that's correct. I was present with my wife at the visa interview.  the CO told me they will try to expedite my case but still nothing yet.

Interesting.  Sounds like the CO is resolving any final doubts about the relationship.  I don't think the AP will last long.  I think you'll see the status change to issued soon.  Good luck.

it's already a month since the interview but nothing yet. Just the last updated keeps updating.  I hope you are right...

do you know what's the avg time frame for AP?

No.  Sometimes, it means they are finalizing the printing.  At other times, it means they have to do extensive background checks.

There is no way to expedite AP.
