US Citizen I-129F petition for Fiance in Nigeria to obtain K-1 Visa

I'm a US Citizen born and raised here. I visited Nigeria in September 2021 when we were engaged. I filled out the I-129F petition for her in November 2021 and I received the receipt with Case Number right away. It was assigned to the California Service Center. I'm waiting for that approval so we can continue by submitting the DS-160 and she applies for the K-1 Visa. Since May 2022 the Case Processing Time was showing 13 months. I forgot when, but recently it started showing 14 months. As of beginning of November I believe it started showing 15 months, and now toward the end of last month the Case Processing Time even shows 15.5 months. It's been 1 year and almost crossing the 13 month mark now. Status still only shows "Case Was Received". I hoped she could get the Visa, come here and we get married by the end of this year, but now it seems impossible that will happen. I'm told there's nothing else I can do except wait.

According to their post at:

times are supposed to improve, but they seem to be doing the opposite

Seems USCIS hasn't started working on the Nov 2021 petitions yet.  Check the thread below for updates from others who filed their I-129F in the same month as you --

I am in the same boat. Originally the time when we applied was 5-7 months but increased to 6-9months. To see where we are now just makes me more upset with the process-which doesn't help. It sucks but if you go to the November i-129f topic you'll find some information that can help you while we wait; as this is the only thing that can be done.

What's more saddening is I think Nigeria has further delay once you are approved for interview appointments. So unfortunately adding on to the already 16 month waiting period for adjudication. If you read otherwise please let me know.
