Have been reading some horror stories of it taking months. Hopefully I hear something in a week. Feels like we are stuck in limbo until we get a case number.

I’d say for DS-160 i would wait till you received your case number and your status shows ready.

 

For police certificate depends on the country or countries you need to request it from. Meaning if you know it will take several weeks from request till you actually receiving it, then you can request it now but if it’s just a few simple  clicks on the government’s website (as it is for me) then i would wait. Keep in mind they also have an expiration date.

Thought there would be more activity here haha since they have started december a couple weeks ago, but i will say i kinda forgot about this website. But haven’t received my noa2 yet and im not mad about it bc it’s too soon for me anyways. But i would like to receive it before December 2022 reaches 80% processed cause i feel after that God knows how long it would take.

Had asked our lawyer if we should send email regarding our welcome letter from NVC. Our lawyer did it for us and yesterday we got our case number but so far they just acknowledged that they received our petition. Hoping for a status update.

Got the approval on October 13th.

Just got the email from NVC this morning that they are forwarding the petition to the embassy. Happy to see some movement.

I am a December 2022 filer anyone received an RFE and how long it may take for a response after. It will soon reach a year since we filed.
