After GC Interview Wait Time

Hello members,

 

My wife and my daughter had a GC interview in Virginia in August this year.  As I understand it, it took about a month for them to process after the interview.  It has been more than 2 months now, is that the normal processing time after the interview these days or is it not normal ?  Should I give them a call to see what's going on?

I’d say that’s a bit longer than normal.   What does their online status say at USCIS?

It just said interview scheduled and hadn't had any update since July.  Our interviewer told us it would take 4 weeks and this forum I saw normally it takes 3 or 4 weeks to get the GC after the interview if there is no problem.  Our interview went very smoothly without any issue.

Okay, well I wouldn’t worry.   If they need more info or documentation, they’ll let you know.   Your particular field office could be having issues (a wave of Covid amongst the staff, for example).   
 

I would definitely make an inquiry though.
