Self Employment Affidavit of Support

Here’s a loaded question regarding the Affidavit of Support:

 

I understand you need 3 years of tax transcripts plus W2s. My husband is self-employed, which in this case I understand they require your tax transcripts and 1040s?
 

That said, my husband’s income isn’t high enough to sponsor me. My current job is being transferred to the US once my greencard is in hand, as the company I work for is incorporated in the USA as well as Canada, with US operations. As I will be “self sponsoring” from a financial standpoint, would his 1040s still be required, or should tax transcripts to show he doesn’t qualify be sufficient?

You understand incorrectly.  "Or" not "and".  If you have the tax return transcripts that's enough.  Self employed don't have W2s
