ANYONE FROM SWAT OR PESHAWAR GETTING A VISA> MY FRIEND BEEN THERe TO SEE HEr LEGIT long term Pakistani HUSBAND 3 times in four yrs for two months @ a time and they still wont let him get a marriage visa!!??e is white american. they are both legally divorced and been married for over 5 -6 yrs with multiple visits to pk for months @ a time!!!???

Oh thats discouraging my husband is from Swat and we are just starting off in this process. I hope i dont have to wait that long

I recently mailed my packet 3.5 stuff to ISL Embassy and hoping everything goes well. I was wondering wether you have received Packet 4 yet. If you did recieve packet 4, could you please let me know how long till you get packet 4 and what's inside packet 4. I am also applying for K1 visa. Thanks

Hey Taufik (I hope you got my e-mail, haven't been on the thread in a while but here is what I put in the e-mail to you),

I also hope things go well for Pkt3.5. I received Pkt4 on Jan 17. This packet consists of you having to do your Medical and obtaining a Police Certificate. It took a while for me to receive Pkt4 because of the holidays and the Bhuto incident in Pakistan. You should have your Pkt4 back in 2 to 3 wks is my guess but dont worry you will have plenty of time to prepare for things. Just hope Pkt3.5 is right b/c this pkt holds your interview date.

salaam.....hello to all,

We are still waiting for our NOA2 and Insha Allaah, we pray it will be coming soon.

I was wondering if anyone here used that umm...James Shortcut?? If you did, that make your case go any faster through NVC?

I don't necessarily want to use it, cause I am really "dumb" about all that stuff, but Qasim is not.

Once we get to the NVC level, how smoothly does it tend to go? Also the interviews at that emabassy...........are the dates coming pretty early or our they like 3 to 4 months out or what??

I have asked alot, but I am just curious and getting very anxious to get to NVC. We have been waiting so long just for our NOA2 and I am just tired of this waiting @ uscis

IS there anything that we could be preparing for before we get to NVC??

Mingora Swat valley. The embassy hired some unqualified peoples to d a field check, passed around her photo, which you dont do around there, asking questions if they knew her. Whne she stays clse to the home there or now face covered up there again. also they said that her husban tried to bribe them when he was just showing some good oldfashioned Puhktoo hospitality by offering them meal and tea!! Its too bad, he is really nice good guy and she is decent lady. they are both in thier 40s and she sees him @ summer time . in 6 yrs her youngest will be 18 then she will move to live with him in Swat.

oh my, thats where my husband lives near Mingora about 3 miles away. Oh i can see we are in for a long wait. Well i tell you if i have to wait for long time i will moving there too.

What kind of Evidence of Engagement to your fiance they re asking for? What about photos? Did you send 2 U.S size passport photos? Also you mentioned in your previous post that "You need to mail EACH of these ORIGINAL documents IN AND 1 COPY of EACH DOCUMENT". Our direction doesn't say anything regarding copies. By copies you mean copies of Form DS-156, DS1-56K, DS-230 (Part1) and DS-157?

I just receieved this booklet which had all the forms in it and I had to tear all the forms after filling. I am a bit confused. Please help

I have question for everyone my husband received a email from : ISB embassy asking for the following:

"Mr. -----,

We are writing regarding your K-3 visa case. Please provide us all your telephone numbers (home, work, mobile etc.) from the past five years for further review of your case.

Thanks,

IV Unit

U.S.Embassy,

Islamabad, Pakistan."

His reply was:

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates -I have been working here for the past five years. and he provided them with contact numbers.

Does anyone have any idea why they are asking for the following information? I am just curious
