Go to the CEAC and at the top/right it says where is it.

here you can see how it says it is currently at “NVC”.

 

Once your case is reviewed and Documentary Qualified by the NVC, it is sent to the consulate after a few months.

 

In my case it should change from “… currently at: NVC” to “…currently at: Santo Domingo”.

the USC gets  a notice from NVC with your interview date and instuctions of what documents are needed for the bene to bring to embassy day of interview
