Is the US amy domicile AND questions about previous visa application

Hello,

I’m using this opportunity to ask two questions in one. 
 

The first one is more important, and perhaps a problem. We filed our I-130 in December 2021. I don’t remember if there was a section asking if she previously applied for a visa to the United States. If there I was, I’m quite sure I answered no (but is there even a place it asks that?). The reason I’m concerned is because I totally forgot about a year before applying for her I-130 we had applied for a B1/B2 visa for her to come the United States. We had filed out a DS-160 for her, paid the fee, setup an appointment, but then cancelled the appointment since we decided to just visit each other in a third country. Is this considered an application? Furthermore, was there a place I was supposed to declare this in the I-130 or any other USCIS application/form?

 

the second one question is: I’m moving back to America next month after living abroad for 11 months. I kept my US address, paid all my normal bills there, and so on but just lived here. When I got back, it will be getting close to the time to apply for the NVC. Would I need to establish domicile if I just got back from living abroad? 
 

Thanks all for your answers! This just came to my mind about the B1/B2 visa and it’s really scaring me!

By getting back, you've established domicile. 

If you didn't submit the B-2 application, then you didn't apply for a visa.

Hmm, not sure if I understand correctly. An email was sent to me at that time saying an application was submitted, but not approved. We paid for the application, forgot what the few was. I think close to $200 (it said “NOT A VISA”). She had an interview at the embassy but never went.

Ooo so she was interviewed. If that's the case, you did apply. 

 

Anyway, you can bring this up at her upcoming interview and have it fixed.

She did have one scheduled at the embassy but we didn’t do it. She wasn’t actually interviewed, we just submitted a DS-160 online and paid for an interview but never went to the actual interview.
