Good evening friends,

I am applying i-485 adjustment of status for my mother who is in the states on B1/B2. Can you please  advice on documents need for this. Kind of like a checklist if you would.

Her status is legal and has been to states as tourist 5 or 6 times. She is 60 and wants to be with me as there is no other family member.

Thank you!

Ok, then you'll be following this guide:

Exchange parent for spouse where applicable.

Evidence requirements will differ for a parent than a spouse.

When I filed i130 for my mother I had to submit a lot of documents to establish our relationship such as birth certificates for me and her, certificate of family relationship that shows her as my mother, etc.

Reading the information from the source is the best thing you can do. Each of the required forms come with specific instructions on how to fill them out and what kind of evidence is required.

Here are some links from USCIS:

I really appreciate the help. Thanks again. I applied and got I-797c number in the email. Now, is it okay for mom to stay in states during the process? Her I-94 expires on Nov 7th.

Yes, she should plan to sit tight for a long while unless you submitted an i131 for her. Even if her I-94 expires she is OK to wait while her AOS is pending. Overstays get forgiven for immediate relatives of USC.
