Hi everyone! I’m new here!
I’m the beneficiary for the K1 visa and our form I-129 got approved in June/22, however, the hard copy of the notice of approval doesn’t show the alien number. Did that ever happen to someone here?
I’m in touch with a lot of people in the K1 process and unlike me, all of them got their alien number in the I-797 Notice of Action confirming their Petition was approved by the USCIS.

Did a marked up copy of the I-129F get emailed to the US petitioner from either the NVC or USCIS around the time the case was being sent to the US consulate/embassy?

If so, check in the marked up copy of the I-129F?

We are not there yet, we are still waiting for NVC to send our case to my embassy, I wonder if the absence of the A-number is going to be an issue for the visa process.

So if the case is still at USCIS, maybe try contacting USCIS? If it is at NVC, then it maybe more of a hassle since they are just a routing station. You at least have a receipt number to refer them.

I did, I called the Uscis for my A-number and they said a A-number won’t be created until later stages in the process (NVC case number and/or visa interview) which is weird because most people get their A-number on the hard copy of NOA 2. That’s why I would like to know if that happened to some else cause I wanted to know if their were able to get that number at some point.

Yes it is weird.

You can call USCIS again, or continue the process like get the NVC case number and check the status till case is sent to the consulate/embassy. See if they send the marked up copy of the I-129F?

You won't need the A-number till after that.

We did not get the A number on out NOA2 (we did the K1 and then had to do CR1 - long story).

First time we found out the A number was when the embassy emailed the Packet 3, when they included the scanned copy of the approved I-129F.

Also, the A number will not be needed until you file for AOS.  No reason to worry about it.

Thank you so much! Hopefully we won’t need that number for now.

I’m sorry to hear you guys had to face the long wait twice.

Thank you for sharing that, if we will need that number only for AOS and if the absence of that number won’t have any impact on the next steps of the process (getting the NVC number and having my interview scheduled), that makes me very relieved!
