Hi Guys, quick question.

I have a pending I-751 from EAC (11+months) and I'm eligible to apply for naturalization end of this month. I understand that applying for N400 will move my I-751 to the field office, and I'll most likely have a combo interview. USCIS naturalization timeline for NYC area is around 15-16 months. So does that mean if I apply for N-400 when I'm eligible, i'm looking for around 16 months of not having I751 adjudicated as well? I'm debating to wait a few months and at least have my 10 year green card vs. apply for N-400 while ROC is pending and wait for another 16 months without any adjudication.

Anyone from NYC area that have similar experiences and how they came to a decision?

most likely u will get n-400 interview first than get i-751 approved ( become combo interview )

lately i saw people got interview for n-400 less than time estimated time stated on the uscis website.

Any chance that the I751 gets approved without an interview—if the case/evidence are strong enough—while waiting for N400? Or does applying for N400 automatically guarantees a combo interview.
