Received ds 5535 and stuck in 221g processing

Applied for B1/B2 tourist visa on 6 April, 2022, on the day of interview VO said “ your visa is approved today” and next I received the 221g slip in email stating that my visa is refused for administrative processing and also received the email to fill 15 years history ds 5535 form. It’s been 36 days and no update since then, please be advise this is so frustrating

AP can be weeks, months, or more than a year - it all depends on the case. Nothing you can do other than wait.

Okay, and my passport is still with them

Correct - your passport is still with them while they process your paperwork... you can request it back if you need it for anything
