Hello! Not sure if I'm posting this in the right space but I need advice. Immigration lawyers won't answer any calls or emails to even set up a consult.

I received my noa1 receipt in the mail the last week of January. I feel really hopeless because it hasn't even changed status to say they're looking at it. I know thats really soon for the process, I get it can take a year or two to get an answer on everything. But this early in the game, I'm wondering if it's better to just get married and go through that whole deal or if at the end of the day, the processes are gonna take the same timeframe. My understanding from the posts I've read is that it's better to switch but I'm so lost.

Any info anyone can give me is appreciated. But switch? Why? And how if yes? Thank you in advance!

There is no switching.  If you decide to marry, you automatically void the I-129f and have to start a new process for a spousal visa.

There are plenty of posts on the pros and cons of the K-1 vs spousal visa.   You have to decide what's important to you.  Is being able to work and travel internationally a concern?  Are you okay with the foreign fiancee sitting around for 6-8 months to wait for the authorization to work and travel internationally without abandoning the immigration process?
