High school / college transcripts while a PR

I was a legal PR all throughout elementary, high school and university years in the US and then got my Citizenship after college and shortly after (less than a year) travelled to Canada where I met my husband and had my kids. My lawyer says I had physical presence in the US after age 14 so I am still able to apply for CBRAs for them which I am about to do. I have ordered sealed official transcript from my high school and university, do they need to be notarized?

A transcript is considered a public record and must be certified by a school official and then the official's signature can be notarized. An original diploma, on the other hand, can be copied and certified by any notary public.

when i applied for my transcripts the college mailed them directly to the agency that was handling my volunteer work abroad
