Uploading to CEAC post DQ, pre-interview

I am curious if anyone on here has experience uploading updated documents to CEAC after DQ; more specifically, after interview appointment has been scheduled/confirmed, but prior to actual interview date. My wife's interview is the end of this month and I would like to upload several, more recently updated documents i.e., updated police, judicial certificates, photos, I-864, etc... YES, I know we can (and we will) bring them to the actual interview as well. Having read through the forums for quite some time I do see in some places, it is quite common for the CO to ask you to upload at the interview but I'd prefer to do it beforehand. So, my question for those in the know, if I upload an updated I-864 what do I choose in the ceac drop down menu (I-864 or other supporting evidence)? I don't want to delete my original I-864 but would like to add an updated one.

I-864 is fine.  IIRC, you won't be able to delete the accepted documents after DQ anyway.  Just make sure to upload the updated documents under the "Additional AOS Supporting Documentation" or "Optional Documents" section (for civil documents) in CEAC.  In my case, the day before my visa interview, I uploaded a better scan of a required civil document.  My existing document on CEAC was not deleted or overwritten.

Would you say this is also accurate for adding an update joint sponsor to CEAC?

If you mean an updated I-864 or supporting documents from your existing joint sponsor, then yes -- ok to just upload the updated documents under the section for "Additional AOS Supporting Documentation".

 

If you mean replacing your joint sponsor with a different sponsor, not sure if the same will be enough.  You may try just uploading to the additional documents section, then see what the CO says at the interview.
