Actually they would be for K3 visa, it it actually was a real option.  I filed two I--130s back in 2005, but only one I-129F.  K3 and K4 visas issued and used.  That was then.

 

Note that back in the day when a K3 visa was an actual option (My Ex got one.) it was best to file the forms together.  However, NOW, since you are only trying to speed up the process for approval of the I-130, you want the later filed I-129F to be a trigger instead of being immediately closed upon concurrent receipt.  No guarantees, but sometimes it works.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
