Hello all,

So today I got messages from NVC requesting additional documents which I am a bit confused and wanted to get help

First they need my all W-2/1099 forms for the year 2020. I did withdraw from my 401k account in 2020 is it the reason they are asking form 1099 for 2020 as well.

Secondly they need my marriage certificate stating specifically all copies of marriage certificates. I uploaded Nadra marriage registration certificate along with english version of Nikkah nama now should I also include the urdu Nikkah nama along with the first two as well?

Thanks

you need to send the documents NVC asked for

if u sent a 1040 instead of IRS transcripts , then yes , NVC will want all W2's and the 1099

As for marriage certificate,  what did the RFE specify?

if they want the urdu Nikkah nama , then scan and send it with an English translation

basically until u send what they ask for,  the petition is stalled at NVC

Appreciate your reply. With regard to Marriage certificate I will upload the urdu version of nikkah nama but regarding 1099 where can I get it since I only have w-2 form for year 2020 and yes I uploaded the 1040 form since I did my taxes online.

look at end of the year statement from your 401 management company ,  the information may be there

How did u file taxes without the 1099, your 401 company should have provided this 1099 by end of January 2021 for 2020

contact the 401 management company and request the 1099

look here under the marriage certificate section:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Pakistan.html

"Document Name: For U.S. immigration purposes, Pakistani Muslim applicants must present both an original, signed Nikah Nama (with its English translation) and a NADRA-issued marriage registration certificate. Note that while both documents reflect similar information, each on its own does not constitute sufficient proof of marriage."

You can see it clearly says you need to upload three items, the original Nikkah Nama, the English translation of the Nikkah Nama, and the Nadra issued marriage registration. It sounds like you only upaloded two of these.

Yes you are right. So should I upload all three in one file or upload them individually.

I tried their web version as well but I couldn't find it. I uploaded the w-2 and marriage certificates but I accidently uploaded w-2 form in civil documents and after realizing I uploaded them in Aos documents as well. Will it be a problem ?
